Nissan India has recently released the all-new teaser of its upcoming SUV, the Nissan X-Trail. The upcoming Nissan X-Trail will be the second offering of the automaker in India. The SUV will positioned against some popular SUVs in India such as the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and MG Gloster. The all-new teaser highlights some key design elements of the upcoming SUV including the grille, split-LED headlamps and DRLs, taillights and alloy wheels. Check out more details about the SUV below. Nissan X-Trail Design

Nissan X-Trail V-Motion grille

The all-new X-Trail comes with split headlamps with LED lights. One of the major highlights in the front is Nissan's V-Motion design grille. At the rear, the SUV gets taillamps with LED lights. When it comes to the side profile, the X-Trail is expected to arrive with 18 or 19-inch alloy wheels, varying according to the variant.

The Nissan X-Trail comes with a two-tone black and tan leatherette with silver accents. However, the India-specs X-Trail can also vary in terms of interior design.

The Nissan X-Trail will get dual 12.3-inch displays- one for infotainment and one as a digital instrumental console. It will get features such as a three-zone automatic climatic control, Heads-up display, ADAS, and electronic parking brake with auto-hold. Some other noticeable features of the SUV include a 10-speaker Bose audio system, heated and powered front seats and a panoramic sunroof.

Nissan X-Trail Engine and Performance

The Nissan X-Trail will expectedly source its power from a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This powerhouse generates 201 bhp of power and 305 Nm of torque and comes mated to a CVT automatic transmission. There are decent chances of the introduction of a hybrid powertrain for the X-Trail in India.

Launch Time and Rivals

Although Nissan has been proactively building up for its upcoming SUV, it has not announced any official launch date yet. It is expected that the X-Trail will make its India debut this month. It will arrive in India with a starting price tag of around 40 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the X-Trail will compete with some well-established names such as the MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian and the Toyota Fortuner.
