Mahindra is known for making robust SUVs with reliable engines and mechanicals, pan India. The trust over the brand remains so, that, the newly launched Mahindra XUV700 & Mahindra Thar are already witnessing waiting periods plunging over several months. This is a testimony in itself that the users all over India, trust the brand so much. With the launch of the new Scorpio N, the company aims to cater the premium buyers who wish for a luxury SUV. While the presence of the upcoming SUV is largely noticed, the budget frame of the car looks not for everyone. The addition of new tech and features will make the Scorpio N costly as compared to the current-gen SUV.

For the people who still want to buy a robust SUV but has budget limitations, the Scorpio Classic remains the most sensible choice. Mahindra will keep selling the current-gen SUV in an unchanged format. The decision is to cover the buyers ranging from budget constraints to the buyers who specifically want the old-gen Scorpio. For now, the company will keep selling all of the variants of the SUV but we anticipate that in near future some of the variants might discontinue. Another logic that pops up behind the continuation of Scorpio is that Mahindra might be willing to equalize the long waiting periods for the new Scorpio N.
Nevertheless, the decision of keeping the current-gen Scorpio on sale is going to be a fruitful one for the company. Also, the new generation of the SUV is about to launch and it will be more powerful, more tech-loaded, & more comfortable than the current car.
