Tata Motors now dominates the Indian market for electric four-wheelers, however, some other manufacturers are also planning to introduce electric vehicles in the country. New electric vehicles have been introduced by manufacturers such as Tata, MG, BYD, Kia, Volvo, and others in the year 2022. Tata Tiago EV
The Tata Tiago EV, one of India's most affordable electric vehicles, was introduced this year by Tata Motors. There are four trim levels available for the Tiago EV: XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux. The options for the battery pack include a 19.2 kWh and a 24 kWh battery pack. The cost of the EV ranges from Rs. 8.49 lakh to Rs. 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The waiting time for an EV is two to four months in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, and other cities. MG ZS EV Facelift
MG Motor India has launched the facelift of its ZS EV in 2022. Excite and Exclusive are the two trim levels that are offered. The larger 50.3 kWh battery pack inside the 2022 MG ZS EV allows for a 461 km range on a single charge. This battery is coupled with a single electric motor that has a 176 Ps power output, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. Lane Change Assist, 6-airbags, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and other safety features are part of the Advanced Safety Package.
BYD Atto 3
In 2022, Chinese electric vehicle maker Build Your Dreams (BYD) has introduced the Atto 3, its second EV in India. One of the most advanced and safest electric vehicles on the Indian market is the BYD Atto 3. The Born EV platform and the incredibly safe Blade Battery are available with the BYD ATTO 3. In ARAI tests, the BYD ATTO 3's 60.48kWh higher battery capacity allowed it to go 521 km. This battery pack has a maximum torque of 310 Nm and a power output of 201 bhp.

Volvo XC40 Recharge
Swedish automaker Volvo has launched its Volvo XC40 Recharge in July 2022. It claims to have a range of more than 400 km and has a battery capacity of 78 kWh. It includes a twin motor setup and can also distribute power to all four wheels. This sets it apart from the majority of other electric SUVs. The total output of power and torque is 402bhp and 660 Nm, respectively. With this, the XC40 Recharge can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
Kia EV6
With the introduction of the EV6 for the Indian market, Kia also joined the EV race in India. The KIA EV6 is a popular product all over the world that is already well-known for its powerful electric motor and great driving range. In India the Kia EV6 comes with a larger 77.4kWh battery pack. For the RWD model, this battery pack has a maximum output of 350 Nm and 229 bhp. The AWD model has a maximum output of 325 bhp & 605 Nm of torque.
