Renault India Opens 90 New Sales Outlets in Less than a Year

Renault India is the most selling European carmaker in the Indian market and that is for a reason. While the other European carmakers like Volkswagen and Skoda are targeting the premium segment, Renault India is sailing in the market with entry-level cars like the Kwid and Triber - which adds to volumes. But that doesn't mean the brand will only sell entry-level cars, Renault will launch the Magnite-based sub-compact SUV soon. Renault India is now expanding its reach in the market and has already added over 90 new sales outlets and touchpoints in less than a year.

Renault India is prepping up for the next big launch and the product is almost ready. The brand's India head shared that the supply chain issue has lead to a delay in the launch of the Kiger sub-compact SUV which may not happen before early next year. Talking about the new sales outlets, the French marque has increased its presence in smaller cities and towns by adding 90 new sales touchpoints. Now the brand operates 415 sales and 475+ service touchpoints which include 200+ Workshop on Wheels service vans.

Renault promises to deliver a similar service experience with the Workshop on Wheels which is operated by trained technicians. In the last two months, Renault added 34 new sales and service outlets in different regions on the India map. In total, the brand has added over 90 sales and service touchpoints in less than a year and the count in increasing ever since. Renault India has three products in the Indian market - Kwid, Triber and Duster. The Kwid and the Triber account most of the sales of Renault in India thanks to their attractive pricing.

Moreover, Renault is now working on to launch the Kiger compact-SUV which is based on Triber's CMF-A+ platform. It will be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the same engine will also power the Triber in future. The downside of the Triber is its engine which fails to offer the punch with 7 people on board.
