The price of the River Indie electric scooter has been increased by the manufacturer, EVmaker. It's gone up by Rs. 13,000. River Indie Electric Scooter: New Price, Colours And Design
In February 2023, the River Indie hit the market in Bengaluru with a price tag of Rs. 1.25 lakh (excluding taxes). However, due to updates in the FAME 2 subsidy program, now its price is at Rs. 1.38 Lakh. Apart from the price change, everything else about the vehicle remains unchanged.
It comes in vibrant Summer Red, Monsoon Blue, or Spring Yellow, and offers practicality with twin LED headlights, crash bars, and detachable pannier mounts.
It has motorcycle-style handlebars, a spacious floorboard and a wide seat. With 14-inch wheels and chunky tyres, it delivers stability and grip on any terrain.

River Indie Electric Scooter: Features And Performance
The Indie scooter offers a smooth ride with a 6-inch colour display, LED lighting, centre and side stands with motor cut-off, forward and reverse parking assist, and 2 USB ports. It also features front and rear foot pads, a 12-litre glovebox, 43-litre under-seat storage, and a pannier stay for extended journeys.
This electric bike has a top speed of 90 km/h in Rush mode, with an IDC range of 161 km on a single charge. It features a 6.7 kW motor generating 26 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
Riding modes include Eco, Ride, and Rush. For braking, it has a 240 mm front disc and a 200 mm rear disc, both hydraulic. The bike also has a CBS with Adaptive Regen for enhanced safety and control.
Verdict
The River Indie stands out for its sturdy construction, smart features, and eco-friendly performance. Despite a higher price, its reliability and versatility make it an attractive option for city commuters.
