Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Details
We have been reporting for a long time about a new 350cc bike under development from Royal Enfield. The name was later on decided as the 'Hunter 350'. But what is it going to be? How will it look? What will be the feature?
Well, the design is something that is never seen on any of the Royal Enfield bikes. It is a street naked motorcycle that will host more modular design as compared to the rest of the lineup. Simple looks, minimal body panels, & upright riding posture are the primary elements of the design.
Giving it a retro theme is the round halogen headlamp with a round speedometer. The instrument panel shall be carried over from the Meteor 350 & it might be a semi-digital unit. Additionally, the tail section is small & upright as well.
Assessing the online photo renders, the bike will get basic features as such alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, disc brakes, etc. No points for guessing that the dual-channel ABS will also be fitted for additional safety. The chassis is based on the J-platform which is already used on the new Classic 350 cruiser.

Engine & Specifications
Being a 350 means the same 348cc, single-cylinder, the air & oil-cooled engine will be used as the Meteor or the new Classic. This engine is a very torquey unit & also deemed for reliability as well.
The Hunter's engine will produce a peak power of 20.2 bhp & 27 Nm of peak torque. Royal Enfield will equip the Hunter with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. However, we do not expect the slipper-assist clutch to feature on this bike due to cost-benefit reasons.
Launch, Price & Rivals
As per the company claims, the Hunter is expected to launch between 4-8 August 2022. Royal Enfield is trying to keep the costs minimal & hence very aggressive pricing is expected for it. We suspect that Hunter will launch around Rs 1.30 Lakh. Rivals will include - Yamaha FZ25, Suzuki Gixxer 250, & the Pulsar N250 as well.
