RE Super Meteor 650 Photos
The leaked online photo seems to be from the official photoshoot of the bike. The red colour paint shade is visible on the accessory-laden model. Additionally, the outlook of design is now clearly visible. The laid-back cruiser styling is prominent from head to toe of it. The wide handlebar, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, & low-slung seating makes it a perfect cruiser. Meanwhile, the exhaust cans are now new. Unlike the upright exhaust cans of Interceptor 650, it has straight small end cans.
The Super Meteor gets 3 variants called - Astral, Celestial, and Interstellar. Each variant will be offered a different set of features and colour options. Additionally, the speedometer of the new Super Meteor 650 is also new. It gets the tripper navigation along with it.
Another major point to notice is the use of accessories and equipment. For starters, it gets USD forks at the front, alloy wheels, & LED lighting all around. However, the features list also seems to be long. It has a big windscreen at the front, a pillion backrest, tripper navigation, & switchgear took from the Meteor 350. However, the majority of the mechanicals are shared with the Continental GT 650.

LISTEN TO THE SUPER METEOR 650 EXHAUST SOUND HERE
The Super Meteor exhaust sound has also been revealed. Mr. Sid Lal has posted a short video on his social media account recently. This short video shows the showroom-ready bike being ridden on RE's test track. The exhausts sound grunt-rich and bassy. This sound is different from the current 650 twins. Additionally, it gets revised gearing which is to defy the higher kerb weight. The Super Meteor is 241 kg in kerb weight which makes it 39 kg more than the Interceptor 650. Additionally, it gets 0.3 Nm of more torque to counter the additional weight.
However, it gets the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine from the other 650 twins. This engine makes peak power of 47 bhp & 52.3 Nm of peak torque. RE is also offering a center stand on the new Super Meteor 650. The 43mm of USD shocks at the front has 120mm of travel. Additionally, the braking setup is also new. It gets a 320mm single disc brake at the front tyre & 300mm single disc brake at the rear tyre.
Other major highlights include the 15.7-lt fuel tank. It also rides on tubeless alloy wheels. The front tyre is a 19-inch while the rear tyre is of a 16-inch profile. Hence, the problem of dealing with the tubed tyres will not be an issue with this cruiser.
Verdict
The Super Meteor 650 is one of the most awaited bike launches of 2022. Its expected launch date is around the time of Rider Mania 2022. We anticipate that it will be priced at around Rs 3.35 lakh mark in India.
