Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is nearing its launch. The new spy shots reveal a completely undisguised test mule ready for production.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is now reaching the production-ready stage as the launch nears. The recent set of spy photos reveals what this upcoming cruiser bike has to offer. The test bike spotted was seen using different exhausts from the 650 cousin bikes. There is also a video that showcases the grunt-rich exhaust note.
The cult bike manufacturer is set to update its 650cc lineup with a set of new products. These include the Shotgun 650, Bobber 650, & the Super Meteor 650. The Super Meteor spotted here, is based on the middle-weight cruiser styling. The purpose is to provide the riders with a comfortable cruising posture.

Speaking of the design, the new details that have emerged via these photos showcased to us some interesting elements. The overall design is mostly curvy & bulky as it resembles the smaller cruiser bikes of the lineup.
The test bike was seen running on USD forks which are deemed to come as standard. Along with this, the twin-pod semi-digital instrument panel is seen over the bike. This seems to be the same unit as that of the Meteor 350.
This means the new 650 cruiser bike will feature the tripper navigation feature. Also, the test bike was using the 'heel-toe' gear shifter that is usually seen in either over-the-budget bikes or the heavy capacity cruiser bikes. The riding posture is comfortable with a low-slung seat, front set footpegs, & wide handlebar.
The talking point in the spy pics is the dual exhausts that feature a short-barrel design. As per the video source, the exhaust sound is quite bassy as compared to the Interceptor 650 & the Continental GT 650 bikes.
Also, the test bike featured alloy wheels. A lot of existing 650 sibling buyers are looking forwards to buying the 18-inch alloy wheels just to counter the tubed spoke rims. As per many buyers, the puncture turns into a nasty long process & requires expertise as well as trained hands to fix. Alloy wheels are expected to solve this issue.

Technically, the upcoming bike will continue using the 650cc, oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This is a gem of an engine & it produces a peak power output of 47 bhp & 52 Nm of peak torque. The gearbox will also remain the same 6-speed unit that comes with a slipper-assist clutch function as well.
The launch of the upcoming 650 bikes is nearing. The reports over the internet suggest that the company is planning to introduce the new models either by the end of 2022 or the start of 2023. We expect the pricing to remain north of Rs 3.5 Lakh (ex-showroom).
