One of the most exciting bike launch of 2022 is just around the corner. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is going to debut globally on November 8. Meanwhile, ahead of its launch its second official trailer is launched. The social media handles of RE have teased the rear end of the bike in this teaser. RE Super Meteor 650 Teaser Details
The second teaser showcase the rear profile of the bike. The overall design looks like the Meteor 350 but in a butch outlook. Meanwhile, the presence of retro modern equipment is bluntly visible. The round LED taillight with round indicators & twin exhaust cans look fantastic. Additionally, the speedometer is seen lit in the teaser with a tripper navigation. The Super Meteor 650 will be the first 650cc bike from RE to get tripper nav. Additionally, the low-slung styling with wide handlebar & round rear view mirrors is also seen.
Meanwhile, the big tear-shaped fuel tank is another highlight of its design. The front of Super Meteor has already been leaked online. Multiple test bikes have been spotted time-to-time showcasing its retro looks. It will also get additional equipment like front USD forks, alloy wheels, pillion backrest, etc. RE is also suspected to offer it in 3 variants with multiple official accessories. An accessory laden test bike was also seen recently.
Technically, it will use the shared components from the Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650. The 648cc, parallel-twin engine is going to get featured on it. This engine makes a peak power of 47bhp & 52 Nm of peak torque. However, the 6-speed gearbox will be re-tuned according to its dimensions. Other features will include the dual-channel ABS & slipper clutch.
Verdict
The Super Meteor is one of the most awaited bike launch of 2022 globally. It is going to debut on November 8 at EICMA. However, its suspected launch might take place on the Rider Mania 2022 in India. We expect it to be priced on or above Rs 3 lakh mark. Currently, the Benelli 502 C is its only competitor in India.
