Scoundrels have been an embodied part of society & when they get to their roots; they make sure to get noticed.
One such eye-opening incident has taken place in the city of Ujjain. On a sweet winter afternoon of 25 January; 2 thieves with monotonous intentions entered the Sanghi Brothers Tata showroom on Agra Road, Ujjain. Enquiring about the new Altroz they happen to have convinced the salesman for a test drive.
As helpful as the sales executive Vishnu could be, the test drive car was immediately taken out for the spin. Whilst one of them drove the car, the other sat at the rear. Within a few hundred meters from the showroom, the thieves told the executive to notice a strange sound coming from outside of the car. As soon as the executive came out of the car to check where the noise came from; the scoundrels ran away with the car.
This was immediately reported to the showroom as well as in the nearest police station of Chimanganj Mandi police station.
Now, the plot twist.....
As new generation cars are filled up to the brim with high-tech features; the stolen Altroz was equipped with keyless entry. Also known as the push-button start feature; this allows the driver to lock or unlock the car as well as start the car with the push of a button.
As the key of the stolen car happened to be in the pocket of the sales executive, thieves could not take the car far away. As soon as they stopped the car a few kilometers away it locked itself up & refused to start due to a no-key alert. Locked outside the car & panicked; both thieves flew away.
SI of police station informed that the CCTV footage has been retrieved & they've identified the two conmen. A search operation is on & the case will soon be updated with actions.
