2024 Tata Altroz Lineup: What's Special?
The newly introduced XZ LUX variant of the Altroz comes with a price tag of Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom). Talking about the standout features, it gets a bigger 10.25 touchscreen infotainment system with a new OS, Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, and a 360-degree camera.
On the other hand, the XZ+S LUX variant which costs Rs. 65000 more than the XZ LUX comes with four more airbags on the hatchback which is a good deal.
Altroz XZ+ OS Variant Gets New Features
The previously available Altroz XZ+ OS variant has become more equipped with the latest variant rejig done by the automaker. Earlier priced at Rs. 9.65 lakh (equivalent to the new XZ+S LUX trim), this variant now comes with a price tag of Rs. 9.99 lakh. The higher price tag is due to the added features which include Tata's own connected car tech and air purifier.
The new XZ+ OS variant of the Altroz still comes in a sole petrol form. The automaker has also removed the leatherette seats from this trim which are now exclusive to the Racer edition of the hatchback. The rest of the features such as 90-degree opening doors, cruise control, electrically powered sunroof, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, and auto headlamps remain the same on this trim.
2024 Tata Altroz: Engine Options
The new Altroz gets the same engine options- a 1.2 liter (88hp), 3-cylinder NA engine, and a 1.5 liter (90hp), 4-cylinder diesel engine. There's also an option for a CNG kit with the petrol variant.
The automaker has discontinued the 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit which used to come with the i-Turbo version of the hatchback. The new standard Altroz gets a 5-speed MT and an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for petrol variants.

Although the XZ+ OS variant sees a price hike, it justifies it with advanced connected car technology and an air purifier.
