The dark edition has really favoured the sales of Harrier and now Tata continues the trend with the safest compact SUV, Nexon and premium hatchback, Altroz. In fact, several Tata dealerships have started taking the bookings of Nexon and Altroz Dark Edition.
Sharing more details then both the cars will share the same Atlas Black colour scheme like the Harrier and will bring in Dark Edition badging on the fenders and interior profile. The side profile carries grey alloy wheels that give a contrasting image and the lettering at the rear profile is also done in black.
Like the exteriors, the interiors too will feature an all-black layout. The regular versions of these cars carry a dual-tone colour scheme. The dashboard now carries hints of gloss black finish that looks premium but we are sure it will require thorough cleaning as dust particles are easily visible on this colour scheme.

Since the Harrier is based on the XT and XZ variants, we can expect the dark editions of these cars will be limited to top-spec trims. We can expect a marginal rise of Rs 20,000 over the regular variants but it surely makes more sense as they look aesthetically pleasing.
Sharing the mechanical details of the Altroz then it is powered by three engine options - two petrol and one diesel. The 1.2L, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol is the same found in Tiago. This generates 84 bhp/113 Nm while turbo petrol makes 109 bhp/140 Nm. The diesel is a detuned version of Nexon that now makes 89 bhp/200 Nm. All these engines are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The prices of Tata Altroz sticks from Rs 5.81 lakh to Rs 9.71 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Tata Nexon is powered by 1.2L turbo petrol making 118bhp/170Nm while the 1.5L pumps 108 bhp/260Nm. Both the units are paired with a 6-speed stick shift and an optional AMT unit. The prices of Tata Nexon starts from Rs 7.20 lakh and fetches till Rs 12.97 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
