Tata Motors has launched the much-awaited and most affordable electric SUV, Nexon EV at a price of Rs 13.99 Lakh. The electric SUV is available in three trims - XM, XZ+, XZ+ Lux. And the latter is tagged as a luxury trim and comes with all the bells and whistles. Tata Nexon EV XZ+ Lux is available at a price of Rs 15.99 Lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
The electric SUV packs a 30.2 kWh battery pack and offers 300+ km driving range. It supports fast charging technology so the battery can be juiced up from 0-80% under 60 minutes. The EV can also be charged via 15A plug point and 20% to 100% is achieved in just 8 hours.
The Nexon EV can achieve 0-100 km/h sprint in just 9.9 seconds and the motor produces 129 bhp along with 245 Nm of peak torque. Tata Motors provides 8-years or 1.6 lakh kilometre warranty on the EV. Safety features on the EV include dual airbags, ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control, ISOFIX mount child seats, Rear Parking Sensors, High-speed alert system and Front Seat Belt Reminders.

Unlike the Nexon which comes with a total of six colours, the Nexon EV comes in three colour options only. It gets Signature Teal Blue (we drove this one), Glacier White and Moonlight Silver. To distinguish the EV from the regular Nexon, the car gets EV badging at the rear and the front grille.
Tata Nexon EV is the first car from the Indian carmaker to receive connected features. We have seen it on its competitors, Hyundai Kona and MG ZS EV. It boasts features like mobile analysis, driver behaviour, available range, charge history, geo-fencing, live location with location sharing and a lot more. You can even pre-heat or pre-cool your car remotely via the mobile app.

Talking about the features of the Tata Nexon EV then it receives a large 7.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. It⬢ll support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control also makes to the list.
Other features like a sunroof, leather upholstery, automatic wipers and headlights are reserved for the top-spec XZ+ Lux trim. Also, Tata will provide two modes ⬜ Drive and Sport.
