Tata Tigor XM iCNG Details

The main highlight of the XM variant remains its pricing. It is Rs 50,000 cheaper than the higher XZ variant with the CNG option. Meanwhile, the XZ 7 and the XZ+ variants are priced at Rs 7.90 & Rs 8.50 lakh respectively. This cost reduction has been done via the removal of some features offered on the higher variants.

This variant offers basic amenities as such power windows, central locking, a Harman infotainment system with 4 speakers, and rear parking sensors as well. Additionally, Tata is offering the XM variant in 4 colour shades. These options include - Daytona Grey, Opal White, Arizona Blue, and Deep Red.

Engine & Specifications

Under the hood, the Tigor CNG is powered via a 1.2-Lt, 3-cylinder, bi-fuel engine. This motor churns out peak power of 72 hp and 95 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is offered along with this engine for the XM variant. Tata claims a generous 26.49km/kg of fuel economy with its iCNG engine. This engine is also seen on the small hatchback i.e. the Tata Tiago CNG.

Commenting on the launch, Rajan Amba, Vice President, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said, The Tigor has been an extremely special product for us and the addition of the iCNG variant has propelled our momentum further in the segment. Currently, more than 75 percent of the customer bookings of the Tigor are coming from the iCNG variant which is a testament to the robust demand for this technology in the Tigor portfolio. With the growing popularity of the Tigor iCNG and in line with our New Forever brand philosophy, the new Tigor XM iCNG will help us cater to the new set of customers who have been wanting to experience our iCNG technology with an entry-level trim.
