- Directly rivals the Mahindra XUV700
- Check out the top 5 things Safari offers over Mahindra XUV700
Ever since Tata Safari was launched, there has been quite a lot of buzz in the market. As it bridged its gap with the ever-techy Mahindra XUV700, how much is the distance left? But like we say, no car is ever perfect, and someone somewhere out there offers something more. You will see it here too. Meanwhile, we have put out a section where we told you about the things that XUV700 Offers over the updated 2023 Safari, and now, it is time to turn the tables.
Check out the top 5 things that Tata Safari offers over the Mahindra XUV700 here.
1. Bigger Infotainment Screen
The XUV700 introduced a dual-integrated 10.25-inch display setup, which garnered significant attention upon its launch. Subsequently, many other vehicles have adopted similar configurations. Although the Tata Safari facelift does not feature an integrated screen setup, it comes equipped with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system positioned in the center console as a free-standing unit.
2. Captain Seats
The updated 2023 Tata Safari offers a 6-seater option with captain seats for the second row. This can also be availed as a 7-seater option with second-row bench seating. However, this is something that the Mahindra XUV700 misses out on. You either get a 5-seater version or the next upgrade is a 7-seater option. You have no option for second-row captain seats.
There is something that sweetened this deal even more for the Safari buyers, which we talk about in our 5th point. Stay tuned, you'll love that!

3. Powered Tailgate
Got hands full of luggage? You can swing your leg under the cargo space and the boot opens automatically. This is an electronic tailgate with gesture control. You can open the same by long pressing a button on the key fob, or by conventionally through the physical button on the cargo door. This is something that XUV700 still doesn't offer.
4. Tata Safari: Paddle Shifters
This is a bargain deal. While you get the flexibility of getting both petrol and diesel powertrains with XUV700, you are stuck with just diesel on the Safari Facelift. But, you have paddle shifters that make up for it and offer you greater control of your vehicle.
5. Ventilated Seats
Remember we told you that even gets better with the second-row captain seats of the Safari? Both the Tata Safari and the XUV700 provide dual-zone climate control, offering added convenience to the front passengers. However, the Safari goes a step further by offering ventilation for the front seats, a feature not available in the Mahindra SUV. Furthermore, in the 6-seater variants of the Safari, this feature extends to the second row as well. Now that's cool, literally. (at least for the second-row seats)
