The new Toyota Hilux is expected to hit the showrooms early next year while the price of this pickup truck is expected to start from INR 25-30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Ahead of the launch, the Hilux was spotted during a commercial shoot at the Cyber City in Gurgaon. The unit used during the shoot does give us a fair idea about the design and expected external features. Here are all the details that you should check out about the new Toyota Hilux. For starters, the Toyota Hilux is expected to be based on the same IMV-2 platform that also underpins the Toyota Fortuner and the Innova. In addition to this, the Hilux is also expected to share many other parts and components with the Innova and the Fortuner while it may feature a larger wheelbase and will be longer than its siblings. On the design front, it will boast a large grille up front with LED headlights, a bold bumper and an upright stance. The side profile is largely dominated by multi-spoke alloy wheels while the rear looks a little subtle with small taillights on either sides. You will also notice a lot of chrome at the front, on the ORV<s, and on the door handles.

Inside, the cabin will be spacious and comfortable while features like push-button start, automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, touchscreen infotainment system, etc may also be on offer. A number of parts and components in the Hilux will be lifted from the Fortuner in order to keep the costs in check and offer it at a VFM price in the Indian market.
