Kia Carens facelift is undergoing the final rounds of road testing. The upcoming facelifted model has been spotted again on a test run in Korea. The new model will have revised styling and upgraded features. It is expected to launch in India in the coming months. Read below what we know so far about the upcoming Carens facelift. Kia Carens Facelift - New Design, More Features
The new spy shots have surfaced online from South Korea. Kia is testing the Carens facelift on its home turf. While the completely covered test cars don't showcase much, crucial details are visible. The front design will get new LED headlights with a connecting light bar over the grille. The front bumper and grille will also be revised looking similar to the Kia EV9. The side profile will largely remain unchanged but the new dual-tone alloy wheels will be offered. At the rear, Kia will introduce a new set of LED taillights, a revised bumper, and a new boot lid.
On the interiors, we expect a new dashboard with a floating touchscreen and a new digital instrument console similar to the Kia Seltos. Kia is also expected to introduce new safety features like a 360-degree parking camera and ADAS level 2 as well. The test cars can be seen with a camera and sensors fitted behind the IRVM. The rest of the cabin will remain as it is.
Engine & Gearbox Details
The current model comes with the option of three different engines. These are likely to remain unchanged on the facelift model. These include two petrol and one diesel powertrain. The first is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine while there is also an option of a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. These are offered with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, and a 7-speed DCT auto gearbox options. There is also an option of a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. This is mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter auto gearbox options.
Kia Carens Facelift - Price & Rivals
The Carens facelift testing is ongoing in India as well. There have been multiple spotting of Carens test cars by now. We expect that Kia will launch it before the upcoming Diwali festive season. With new features and revised design, its pricing is surely going to be hiked by a few thousand to lakh or more; depending on the variants. The primary rival to the Carens is the Maruti Suzuki XL6.

The Carens MPV has proven to be a volume-selling product for Kia India. Its spacious cabin, comfortable ride quality, and the availability of different engine options is the sole reason behind its success. The new facelifted model is expected to increase the sales figures.
