Kia Carnival 2024 New-Gen Model Details
The latest spy images have surfaced from Himachal Pradesh. The test mule of the new Carnival MPV is seen going through the off-road section. These specific images have been captured at a higher altitude; probably on a road leading towards the Ladakh region. As we know, road testing is the final phase before a product is finalized, it is good to see Kia testing the upcoming Carnival over such tough terrains.
Meanwhile, the visible front-end design of the new Carnival looks inspired by the Kia EV9. Undoubtedly, the new Carnival will be a complete upgrade to the old model; may it be in size, features, or design. The big tiger nose grille, vertical LED headlights and vertical LED foglights look impressive even from a distance. The bigger dimensions are visible on the road.
However, the interiors are still hidden but we expect them to be similar to the global model. A big curved screen with a digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen will fill the new dashboard design. Also, it'll get a large panoramic sunroof and a single-pane moonroof for thrid-row. Moreover, there will be options for multiple seats and a LWB version is also likely to be launched.
Internationally, it is offered with a 3.6L, V6 petrol engine. However, the Indian model will most likely get a revised version of the 2.2L diesel engine. This engine was previously used on the old Carnival. The power and torque figures will increase with the new ECU tuning, as expected.
Kia has not revealed any information yet on the upcoming generation of Carnival. But, anticipating by the repeated spottings of test mules across the country; we suspect that it can debut by September. Once launched, its pricing will be around Rs 30-35 lakh and it'll compete with the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Suzuki Invicto.

Verdict
Carnival MPV was hugely popular among the big families and even VIPs due to its luxurious cabin and humongous space. Additionally, its frugal and torquey diesel engine had more than sufficient power for Indian roads. With the Carnival's comeback, the Innova Hycross supremacy will surely take a hit. Let's see if Kia could position it aggressively when the launch takes place.
