Tata Altroz facelift testing in full camouflage continues, and this time, we at 91Wheels have exclusively spotted it, parked at a Tata manufacturing plant, where we saw some never-seen-before details. This hatchback is projected to get minor styling updates, more features, and a larger infotainment screen, but will retain the same engines on offer. Moreover, a lot has been said about the upcoming Altroz facelift in the past few weeks, even by ourselves, but this time, we captured a new detail that is mentioned below. So, let's begin, and before that, make sure to join the 91Wheels Whatsapp Channel to never miss out on automotive updates.

Tata Altroz Facelift

The upcoming facelift will bring minor tweaks to the styling, with the grille and bumper being all-new, and the placement of the fog lamp also changed. We mentioned this earlier, but now we can confirm it, as the images were shot by us. However, the major detail we discovered is that the LED headlights have changed. Not entirely, but the inside of them, where Tata is now using Bi-LED projector headlights, as it appears.

Plus, there will be all-new, diamond-cut 5-spoke alloy wheels, and the rest of the car, from almost every angle, remains the same. Nothing has changed, but we suspect that the interior will be new, with more features and a design that will be in line with the current set of Tata cars, such as the Nexon and Curvv. One more important detail that emerged from these photos is that the Altroz will now feature flush door handles, instead of the regular ones. This is directly inspired by the Curvv, which also features them. That said, the rear handle is still placed at the upper glass area, on the plastic panel. These changes enhance the aerodynamics of this hatchback.

Talking about the engines on offer, they are expected to remain the same - a 1.2L Revotron petrol, a 1.2L turbocharged Revotron, a dual-CNG option, and a 1.5L Revotorq diesel engine. For normal city commutes and everyday driving, the regular naturally aspirated engine is a good choice, and it comes with both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DCA. If your priority is fuel efficiency, the CNG option is ideal, with a claimed mileage of 26.2 km/kg. Then there's the diesel engine, which is fantastic, as it is also offered in the Curvv and Nexon and has never received negative feedback from customers.

Verdict
Altroz is the only car in Tata's lineup that doesn't resemble any other Tata vehicle, and that's what makes it really special. Plus, being the only hatchback in its segment to offer a diesel engine is another big selling point. Now, with this update, the company is trying to push the Altroz back onto the sales charts, as its sales have dropped significantly compared to last year. This is because sub-4 meter and mid-size SUVs have taken over the hatchback market. Now, at the same price as the Altroz, one can also get multiple options of compact SUVs, which is the main reason for the drop. Now, let's see how the Altroz facelift performs.
