Tata Curvv Rear Profile Spied: Connected Light Bar In Action
While the mid-size SUV space is one of the segments receiving a lot of action, Tata Curvv along with the upcoming Citroen Basalt, is set to redefine what they can offer more, venturing beyond the usuals. We're talking about the coupe-styled SUVs that were once seen only towards the premium end of the market. In the latest spy shots, the Tata Curvv SUV can be seen on its test run at night, probably for testing out the lighting performance. While the headlights could not be tapped in action, the tail lamps sure caught everyone's attention.
However, it is up for debate whether the said image accounts for a connected light beam or not, courtesy of the brief omissions in its continuity. It gets inverted L-shaped tail lamps extending further into the trunk line with a brake light mounted in the middle of the trunk. It is a fresh attempt at the rear lighting, a welcome departure from the usual connected tail lamps.
The lights will probably feature welcome and goodbye functionality along with sequential turn indicators as we have seen on other Tata SUVs like Safari and Harrier. Meanwhile, the front although zooming away from the camera this time will continue with a continuous light beam running along the bonnet.
Features: Not A Miss!
The interiors and features are going to be something that will act as a major talking point of this coupe SUV. Aiming to stand out as a tech-laden proposition, Tata is giving it all it offers. Expect modern amenities like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10.25-inch digital drivers display. Safety features include 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring. Additionally, the Curvv is expected to offer a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite, featuring lane-keeping assist, autonomous braking, and adaptive cruise control.

Tata Curvv: EV To Launch First, ICE Second
The Curvv will be an electric affair first followed by the ICE variants. It will offer an impressive 500km electric range on a single charge, with a smaller battery pack option expected as well. The fossil-fuel-powered model will come with the newly developed 1.2-litre turbo-charged petrol engine that is good for 125hp with a peak torque of 225 Nm. This powerplant will be potentially mated to either a 7-speed DCA, twinning the set-up of the Tata Nexon facelift
Expected Price And Rivals
With an expected price of Rs. 11 lakhs, the Tata Curvv apart from being a direct rival of the Citroen Basalt, will rival the conventional mid-size SUVs including Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, and others.

It is coming forward to carve out a newsegment, but with its positioning, creates a threat to the authority of even the top-performing conevtional mid-size SUVs as well.
