The Volkswagen Vento was launched in the Indian market more than a decade ago and is now all set to be replaced by the upcoming Virtus sedan in the brand's portfolio. The German brand however recently updated the Vento line-up and discontinued a number of variants ahead of the launch of the Virtus. Under India Project 2.0, the brand is currently working on introducing a number of made for India products in the market. Here are all the details about the latest updates made to the Volkswagen Vento variants in India.
As per the latest updates available on the brand's official website, the Vento is only available with Highline and Matt Edition trim options. Variants like Comfortline, Highline, and Highline Plus are no more available on the website. However, it is worth noting that the Matt Edition models can be still had in Highline and Highline Plus variants. While the brand is yet to officially confirm the updates, it is expected that it has permanently discontinued the above-mentioned variants.

Having said this, the VW Vento currently is available with a 1.0-L TSI turbo petrol engine option that churns out 109 bhp and 175 Nm of maximum torque. This engine can be had with a 6-speed manual as well as an automatic torque converter gearbox. On the features front, the car is available with features like a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, flat-bottom steering wheel with steering mounted controls, auto-dimming IRVM, LED headlamps, etc.
