The logic is simple behind this localization. Easy cost-cutting & better sticker price is the game here. Currently, KIA EV6 went on sale with a sticker price of Rs 59.95 lakh. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is also getting prepped for the launch in the coming months. Both of these siblings are here to compete with the Recharge XC40. Hence, the localization will help Volvo surely.

Volvo XC40 Recharge
Speaking of the technical specification, the Recharge is equipped with a 78 kWh battery pack. This battery is combined with an electric motor to generate a peak power of 402 bhp & 660 Nm of torque. Volvo also claims that this car can achieve 0-100 kmph in under 4.9 seconds. The top speed mark remains 180 kmph because it has been electronically limited.
Most of the design resembles its ICE-powered sibling. But the front has been largely covered to reduce the air drag. The USP of the Recharge remains its long-distance driving range. Volvo claims that it can run 418 km on a full charge. Another advantage will be the SUV stance that none of the rivals offer. This definitely will enhance the practicality quotient of the XC40 Recharge.
The official launch is slated for the end of this month & the deliveries are suspected to begin by October 2022. We suspect the price range to remain between Rs 65 - 75 Lakhs.
