Maruti Suzuki recently clocked in 1 million sales of its S-CNG Cars, strengthening its commitment towards environment-friendly mobility solutions.
Maruti Suzuki S-CNG cars are becoming more popular day by day, in both personal and commercial vehicle segments. Currently, there are nine S-CNG cars in the brands portfolio, which include Alto, S-Presso, WagonR, Celerio, Dzire, Ertiga, Eeco, Super Carry, and the Tour-S. All of these vehicles have cumulatively clocked in 1 million sales, which has further strengthened the groundwork for democratizing CNG technology in India. There have been several instances in the past, where Maruti Suzuki has raised legit concerns associated with CNG vehicles regarding its safety and performance, and that has also reflected in their vehicles development over the years.

Maruti Suzuki S-CNG range of vehicles delivers performance without compromising on superior fuel efficiency. They have managed to achieve that with dual interdependent ECUs with intelligent injection systems that seamlessly communicate with each other to provide optimal fuel-air ratio during combustion. A common rail-based CNG injection system, along with a retuned chassis, suspension & braking, makes up for the rest of the performance enhancements.

When it comes to safety, every S-CNG car is equipped with an advanced dual solenoid system along with an auto cut-off mechanism for gas leak situations. The CNG pipelines are also made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and the CNG filler filter that further protects the CNG system from corrosion and dust particles. An integrated electrical system/ harness further eliminates any chances of onboard short-circuits.
Another crucial development that works in favor of S-CNG cars is how convenient theyve become. The auto-switch feature that helps seamless shift between CNG and petrol modes, and the NGC receptacle special nozzle that ensures safer and faster CNG refueling, really makes S-CNG cars less of a hassle on a daily basis.
