Yamaha Motor India is prepping up for the launch of the all-new Yamaha FZ-X in the country. The India launch of the new Yamaha FZ-X has been scheduled for June 18, 2021. Now, ahead of the official launch of the FZ-X, the pre-bookings for this new motorcycle are already open at select Yamaha dealerships in the country. The Yamaha FZ-X is a highly-anticipated motorcycle in India and it will be a big launch from the company after a really long time. The official launch of the Yamaha FZ-X will take place in India on June 18, 2021, but the bookings for the same are now open unofficially. Select Yamaha dealerships across the country are accepting bookings for the Yamaha FZ-X. One can book it by paying a token amount of Rs 1,000 - Rs 10,000, depending on the dealership.

Just a few weeks ago, the new Yamaha FZ-X was spied near Atal Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh where it was being filmed for the TVC. Thus, we already have a clear idea as to how the new Yamaha FZ-X will look. The motorcycle will sport a good amalgamation of retro appeal with modern elements. The FZ-X takes inspiration from the Yamaha XSR series which is sold abroad. It will however share its mechanicals with the Yamaha FZ-S sold in India.

The new Yamaha FZ-X will be powered by a BS6 compliant 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This BS6 motor might churn out 12.4 PS of power at 7250 RPM and 13.6 Nm of peak torque at 5500 RPM in the FZ-X. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
