Just recently, Volkswagen made quite a few changes to its lineup. A new blue paint job was introduced with the Taigun and a BS6 Phase 2 updated engine for the Volkswagen Tiguan. Taigun, on top of this, now gets more features and also a jump in the mileage figure by almost 7%. The current mileage now stands at 13.54 kmpl. Continuing with these revisions, the color palette has now been shuffled where the Tiguan loses one of its distinct color themes.

Volkswagen Tiguan Kings Red Shade Discontinued
Volkswagen has now officially put the Kings Red color option to rest that was earlier offered with the SUV. With this kicked out, now the Tiguan comes in a total of 5 shades- Night Shade Blue Metallic, Oryx White Pearl, Deep Black Pearlscent, Dolphin Grey Metallic, and Reflex Silver Metallic. Although one shade is now discontinued, it still gets a wide range of options.

Powertrain
Currently, the Tiguan is offered in a single fully brimmed-up variant. The Volkswagen Tiguan gets a BS6 Phase 2-compliant 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that puts out 190bhp and 320Nm of torque. This engine comes solely mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission that powers all 4 wheels of the SUV.

Since the price for Volkswagen Tiguan starts at Rs. 34.7 lakhs ex-showroom, it continues to rival the like of Skoda Kodiaq and Hyundai Tucson. While we are discussing the price tag, it's important to note that it only gets a single variant.
VERDICT- Since the Tiguan is most popular in its blue shade, pulling the red exterior paint job out of the color palette is the result of its low demand.
