The Hyundai Staria MPV is a big-size MPV that is built on the Kia Carnival platform available in a flexible, 7 seater, 9 seater, and 11 seater layout to maximise utility. While it gets futuristic design with expansive glass house and LED lighting all around, the brand has still not revealed any plans for its India launch anytime soon. The MPV, with dimensions of 5,253 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,990 mm in height, it offers a roomy interior at a generous 3,273 mm wheelbase, providing plenty of space for passengers and cargo alike. The tech on board is very Hyundai-like, brimmed up with all the latest tech. If it lands here in India, it will rival the Kia Carnival and will be priced upwards of Rs. 60 lakhs.

Design: The Hyundai Staria stands out with its futuristic design, highlighted by a wide LED DRL strip across the front, a bold grille, and unique pixelated headlights integrated into the bumper. The large glasshouse around give it a spacious feel, while featuring sliding rear doors for added convenience. At the back, the Staria features vertically stacked taillights, completing its striking look.
Dimensions: The Hyundai Staria MPV has impressive dimensions, stretching 5,253 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,990 mm in height. Its roomy interior is made even more expansive by a generous 3,273 mm wheelbase, providing plenty of space for passengers and cargo alike.
Features: Inside the cabin, you get a large, vertically positioned touchscreen, complemented by a digital instrument cluster and a stylish 4-spoke steering wheel. Comfort features includes tech like ventilated seats, automatic climate control, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, LED ambient lighting, wireless charging, automatic sliding doors, and LED accents throughout. The 12-speaker sound system and plush leather upholstery add to the premium feel. On the safety front, it’s packed with Level 2 ADAS, front parking sensors, seven airbags, and keyless entry, and more.
Engine: The Hyundai Staria gives you a range of powertrain options including a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine that delivers 272 hp power and 331 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. For those who prefer diesel, there’s a 2.2-liter engine that produces 177 hp power and 431 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. You can also choose between front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, adding flexibility for different driving needs and conditions.
Expected Price And Rivals: Although the brand has showcased it to gauge the interest of Indian buyers, where if launched, it will be priced around Rs.65 lakhs ex-showroom. It will directly rival the Kia Carnival, which is also built on the same platform.
