Both the bikes equip telescopic forks upfront, but the Classic 350 gets a twin-tube emulsion shock absorber with a 6-step pre-load adjustable, compared to the Roadsters twin shock absorber only. Both are heavy bikes, but the Yezdi is lighter than the Classic 350 by more than 10 kgs. The Roadster also gets 5 mm more ground clearance, and bigger brakes compared to the Classic 350. But the Roadster gets dual-channel ABS as standard, and the RE Classic 350 gets it as an option.

Design-wise, the Yezdi looks better and modern, whereas, the Royal Enfield feels very unchanged from its last iteration. Both the headlights and taillamps are LED units in the Roadster, but, the RE still comes with bulb units. The difference between the two bikes, in terms of appeal, is not a polar opposite. Both get their iconic retro style right on point, but the Yezdi feels fresher, and those twin- exhaust outlet and standard alloy wheels, add that desirable panache.

Yezdi Roadster vs Royal Enfield Classic 350 -  Engine and Transmission

The 334 cc in the Roadster is sourced from the Jawa Perak, but Yezdi has tuned it with a new set of cams and a larger throttle body. Theyve further mapped the ECU  for a  linear flat torque curve. Peak power hits at low revs, thereby letting you enjoy the entire rev-range. Combined with the 29.7 Ps and 29 Nm of power and torque output, the Roadster definitely promises to be a sprightly ride.

The Classic 350 also gets the new J-series, counterbalanced 349 cc engine from the Meteor 350. But RE has tuned it for more relaxed throttle response. The new engine has no vibrations, as was the case with the previous. Not only that, but power output has also increased by 1.1 bhp at 20.2 bhp, but torque figures have dropped by 1 Nm at 27 Nm.

Despite that, the Roadster clearly triumphs over the Classic 350 in this case, with more power and torque. It also gets a 6-speed transmission, over a 5-speed transmission in the RE Classic 350, which further contributes to its highway cruise.
