First of all, talking about the launch timeline of the new-gen Creta, it made its India premiere at the 2020 Auto Expo in Greater Noida and was launched after more than a month period on March 16, 2020. The South Korean carmaker has already begun the pre-launch bookings for the Creta at the beginning of March and the carmaker garnered more than 14,000 bookings ahead of the launch itself. It was just a week in the wake of 2020 Creta launch that the nationwide lockdown was implemented in the country.
However, the Creta continues to rule the hearts of the people and now the car manufacturer has officially revealed that it has achieved the 20,000 bookings milestone within such a short span of time. What's further interesting is that out of these, 18,000 reservations were made before the implementation of the lockdown and amidst the lockdown too, it is in high-demand and has gathered another 2000 bookings. The 2020 Hyundai Creta gets a completely new design language compared to its predecessor and it looks bold and smashing. The Ultimate SUV gets a big and bold Hyundais signature Cascading grille with new 17-inch diamond-cut alloys and all-wheel disc brakes. It features new split headlamp and tail-lamp units giving it a more futuristic look. The car also gets skid-plates both at the front as well as at the rear, roof-mounted spoiler, roof-rails, and body-cladding all-around to give it an SUV stance.
Profusion of Features
If you are not impressed by the way it looks, step inside the cabin and you will definitely feel at home. The 2020 Creta is loaded with features up to the brim and its minimalistic design with top-notch quality will surely impress you. It gets a massive panoramic sunroof along with a huge 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Android Auto, Apple Car Play and Hyundais Advanced Blue Link connectivity. It supports as many as 54 connected car features. The dashboard gets an-all black or a beige-black combination depending on the variant and it gets a four-spoke steering wheel, an air purifier, first-in-segment paddle shifters (only with AT) and also drive modes & terrain modes (only in turbo-petrol variant).

Multiple Powertrain Options
The new Creta offers multiple powertrain options and thus there is one Creta for everyone. It borrows powerplants from Kia Seltos and gets a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 PS/144 Nm and 115 PS/250 Nm respectively, both mated to a 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. Hyundai also offers the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit that churns out 140 PS of power and 242 Nm of torque, mated only to a 7-speed DCT. So, if you want to drive with calmness get the 1.5L gasoline, if you want to munch miles and miles, the 1.5L oil-burner is the right choice for you and if you want to drive enthusiastically the 1.4L turbo-petrol is the one to look out for.
Numerous Variants and Colour Options
Hyundai is offering the new Creta in a total of five trims - E, EX, S, SX, and SX (O). Also, there are as many as 14 variants on offer and the car is available with a plethora of colour options too. The SUV is proferred in 8 single tone colour shades and 2 dual-tone options. Single-tone colours on offer are Mulberry Red, Galaxy Blue, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Phantom Black, and Lava Orange and the dual-tone colour options include White with Black roof and Orange with Black roof.
Attractive Price and Warranty Package
Hyundai India has launched the new second-gen Creta with splendid introductory pricing. The introductory prices start at Rs. 9.99 lakhs for the base variant and go up to Rs. 17.20 lakhs for the range-topping variant, all prices Ex-showroom India. The 2020 Creta also comes with a segment-first variable warranty plan. Hyundai calls it Wonder Warranty Plan and one can choose from three years/1 lakh kilometres, four years/50,000 kilometres, and five years/40,000 kilometres along with three years roadside assistance package.
