The 2020 Auto Expo is less than a month away and we have a long list of cars that'll be showcased, be it the new entrants, the electric options or the facelifts. The latter is what interests us, case in the 2020 Hyundai Tucson BS6. This will get new updates and we might just see a price announcement as well.
We all know car manufacturers bring in a mid-cycle facelift to jazz up the sales of their models and Tucson is no such exception. The flagship SUV has been low in sales and with the updated model, the manufacturer is hoping for better sales figures. In this article, we tell you what to expect from the 2020 BS6 Hyundai Tucson:
Exteriors
At the front, the changes stick to the new trapezoidal grille along with restyled bumper design with new fog light housing. The headlights are now sharper and feature an L-shaped integrated Daytime Running Lights (LED DRLs). A spy shot of the same was spotted testing on Indian roads. The side profile is likely to be more or less the same, however, new diamond-cut alloy wheels can be expected. Moving onto the rear then we expect some tweaks in the taillight design along with new reflectors.

Interiors and Features
Like the exteriors, the cabin too will receive a revamped design. Expect a an entirely new centre console along with features like a floating 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the latest BlueLink technology will be on-board.
The facelifted Tucson also hosts a list of features like a large panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, second-row AC vents and might as well get a 360-degree camera since it is quite a fancy feature and comes in handy. Safety features could see an improvement and we expect adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and among others to come in the SUV.
Engine
Hyundai offers two petrol engines with Tucson in the US but here at our shores, it is likely to keep the same ongoing engines. The 2.0L petrol and 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine will be upgraded to BS6 norms. Transmission options for both will include a six-speed manual and an optional six-speed automatic gearbox.

Prices
Currently, the Hyundai Tucson is priced at Rs 18.78 Lakh and fetching up to Rs 26.99 for the GLS 4WD AT Diesel trim, prices being ex-showroom Delhi. With the restyled exterior and interiors, additions of features and the upgraded BS6 engines, the prices of the Hyundai Tucson will see a hike. We expect it to be more expensive by Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,00,000 for some trims.
