As seen above, the new Verna is available with three engine options and the three engines come with optional automatics. The 1.5 diesel gets a torque converter, the 1.5 petrol gets the new iVT while the 1.0 turbo petrol gets a dual clutch transmission.
Original post: Hyundai was expected to officially launch the new Verna facelift in the Indian market this month. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the launch has been delayed for now and the new launch date is not known. However, 2020 Hyundai Verna price is now out according to a post on Team-BHP - as per reports, the updated model will be priced at Rs 9.31, ex-showroom. The pictures below also give us a clear indication on the USP of the car - features!
The new Hyundai Verna will be available in three trim levels. There will be the base S, the mid-level SX and the top-end SX(O). The car will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The new Hyundai Verna will get a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 113 Bhp and a 1.5 diesel engine too that produces the same amount of power. The most powerful version of the car will get powered by the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and will produce a maximum of 118 Bhp.

The turbocharged 1.0 petrol engine will be available only with a single trim level and it will get the 7-speed DCT automatic transmission as standard. Even though the leaked documents do not give information on the automatic variants of the other engine options but they are also expected to be launched in the market. Do note this is the same 1.0 turbo petrol that we also see in the Venue, Aura and the NIOS.
The entry-level variant of the Verna will come with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, voice recognition, Arkamys sound system, ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators, dual-airbags, front and rear USB ports.
The mid-level SX trim will get additional features over the S variants including 4.2-inch TFT MID, electric sunroof, wireless charger, emergency stop signal, driver rearview monitor and manual curtain for the rear passengers.
The top-end version offers LED headlamps, front ventilated seats, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill start assist, TPMS, side and curtain airbags, BlueLink. The turbocharged petrol variant will also get an all-black interior with red highlights, rear disc brakes, paddle shifters, twin-tip exhausts and front parking sensors.
