2020 Mahindra Thar is a much-awaited pseudo-SUV and we have also seen a bunch of spy shots revealing little details but now we have a clear picture of the 2020 Mahindra Thar. the images have revealed front and rear design with interiors, alloy wheels and even the key fob of the Thar. these images give a hint that 2020 Thar is in its final stage of testing and is merely the production-ready stage.

2020 Mahindra Thar is bigger in dimensions and also have been designed on a new ladder-frame chassis which is more rigid and stable as compared to the previous generation of Thar. we expect 2020 Mahindra Thar will be more stable and can also be used as a daily driver because of its new BS6 compliant 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which in this iteration might product 140 bhp and 320 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra will showcase the 2020 Thar in Auto Expo 2020 along with next-generation XUV500 and next-generation Scorpio.
The whole car, even the alloys wheels were covered by camouflage but the silhouette is visible and the model shown in the images is a higher variant with hard rooftop. the front profile still has the 7 slat grille from the previous Thar and new bumpers and hood comply with pedestrian crash safety regulations. the side profile has been uplifted with bigger and wider section tyres fitted in 5-spoke alloys, we are assuming them to be R17 inches with 240 section rubber. the rear profile has received top-mounted spare wheel which is an alloy wheel and also LED tail lamps.
The interiors of the 2020 Thar will be completely changed and sport a new and modern design with good quality plastics and materials. current generation Thar has cheap quality interiors but that image will be changed completely. if we take images for reference, a new touchscreen takes the top position on the dashboard which is expected to be 7.0 inch in size and will also offer features like reverse parking camera, Android Auto and Apple car play. down below are the circular AC vents with chrome surrounds. 2020 Mahindra Thar will get a boast of features like ABS, EBD, Dual airbags, speed sensing alarm, seatbelt reminders, steering mounted controls, manual AC and front power windows.
Talking about the rear, the current generation of the Thar gets side facing seats which aren't comfortable in any world. 2020 Thar will get front-facing rear seats in top variants but even the top variants will get only 2 doors. The pricing will be fixed a tad higher than what we pay for the current Thar but it is indeed coming with much needed updates and factory fitted hard top roof unlike the dealership fitted alternative for the current generation of Thar.
2020 Thar once launched will take on the likes of Force Gurkha which is also in the process to be upgraded to BS6 emission norms. Both the Thar and Force Gurkha are the true offroad capable cars we can get in the market at the budget and both of them are known to be the pinnacle of offroading.
