If you are someone who wants to book a new Thar then the time is now and today itself. From tomorrow, your booking will be counted as new and you might land yourself in a high priced Thar. It was clear from the start that these prices were kept introductory to boost sales.

For those who have booked the Thar before December, they won't be charged any extra penny and will continue with the older prices. These hiked prices will be for new customers. Since the base model of the new Thar is discontinued, the prices for the same starts at Rs 11.90 lakh and the top model fetching till Rs 13.75 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Apart from being the most affordable 4x4 in the segment, Mahindra Thar is also the safest body on frame SUV. It recently scored 4 stars in the Global NCAP crash test and entered the list of top five safest cars of India. Also worth noting is that the carmaker is now thinking to discontinue the 6-seater version and only bring front-facing rear seats fro, now on.
