We Indians love SUVs! Be it full-size SUVs, proper 4x4 off-roaders or pseudo-non-4x4 SUVs like the mid-size ones or the sub-compact ones. However, in recent times, the sub-4-metre compact SUVs have been the most popular choice among the Indians. This segment is a highly lucrative category and so all the car manufacturers want to launch a sub-4-metre compact SUV in the country to grab a share of the pie. We already have a lot of sub-compact SUVs in India and the latest entrant in this segment is the all-new Nissan Magnite. So, today we have for you the First Look Review of the all-new 2020 Nissan Magnite BS6. Here, we share with you all the details about this new offering from Nissan.

2020 Nissan Magnite BS6: Looks and Colour Options

The new Nissan Magnite looks very striking. This sub-compact SUV looks quite unique and has a rugged appeal. At the front, the Magnite gets a big bold octagon-shaped grille, sharp all-LED headlamps and large L-shaped daytime running LEDs. The fog lamps are placed on the lower half of the body and are all-LED units. The Magnite has a tall-boy stance and it gets a unique design for the diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets LED taillamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, bold cuts and creases, dual-tone paint scheme, etc. It also gets body-cladding all-around and skid plates at the front and rear. All in all, the Magnite is a very handsome looking sub-compact urban SUV and it will tun a lot of heads out on the streets for sure.

2020 Nissan Magnite BS6 Review

Talking about the colour options, the new Nissan Magnite will be available in a total of eight different colour shades, out of which four will be mono-tone colours and four will be dual-tone paint jobs. The mono-tone colours include Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Storm White and Sandstone Brown. The dual-tone colour schemes are Flare Garnet Red with Onyx Black, Vivid Blue with Storm White, Tourmaline Brown with Onyx Black and Pearl White with Onyx Black. Thanks to these cool colour shades and funky youthful design language, the new Nissan Magnite will have a great road presence.

2020 Nissan Magnite BS6: Engine, Transmission and Mileage

The new Nissan Magnite gets two petrol engine options with two different transmission options. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This motor churns out 72 PS of power at 6250 RPM and 96 Nm of peak torque at 3500 RPM. It also gets an all-new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor churns out 100 PS of maximum power at 5000 RPM and 160 Nm of peak torque at 2800 - 3600 RPM (152 Nm of torque at 2200 - 4400 RPM for CVT). Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and the turbo petrol also gets a CVT. 2020 Nissan Magnite BS6: Creature Comforts and Safety Features

The new Nissan Magnite is fairly loaded with goodies and it gets some first in segment features too. It gets a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Some other features of the Magnite include a funky all-digital instrument cluster, 360-degree parking camera, Nissan Connet tech, cruise control, and many more. Nissan is also offering a Tech Pack for the Magnite that will add some more goodies to this compact SUV like a wireless phone charger, ambient mood lighting, premium JBL speakers, air purifier, puddle lamps, etc. The safety features of the Nissan Magnite include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and many more.

The new Nissan Magnite has been priced very aggressively and its introductory prices range between Rs. 4.99 lakhs - Rs. 9.35 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. These introductory prices will be valid for the customers who book their car before December 31, 2020.
