Renault India launched the Triber last year and it picked up really well. The Triber is sold in good numbers thanks to its accessible price and amazing value for money. But the Triber had one box unchecked - the convenience of an AMT box. Sources confirm that 2020 Renault Triber AMT will be launched on May 18 in the Indian market.

The French marque showcased the Triber AMT at the 2020 Auto Expo with a bunch of other products as well. The AMT version of the Triber will be paired with the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine churning out 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque. Talking about the changes, there will be a new brown colour in addition with blue roof rails and new skid plates. Nothing will be changed mechanically and all the features will remain the same as before.
Talking about the features, the Triber has always been a feature-packed car with features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, engine start/stop button, all power windows, projector headlights, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 4 airbags etc. The pricing of the Triber was the main highlight, the BS6 range of the Triber starts at Rs 4.99 lakhs and goes to 6.78 lakhs ex-showroom.
We were also hearing about the launch of the turbo petrol Triber but Renault had not brought any alight on its launch. Rumours suggest that the turbo petrol variant will employ a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with 99 Hp and 160 Nm of torque. We will see the same engine in Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite as well. There is no confirmation on the launch of the Triber turbo yet.

The launch of the 2020 Renault Triber AMT will happen on May 18 digitally and bookings will open on the same day as well. The interested buyers can book the Triber AMT after May 18 from Renault's official website as well. The pricing will see a hike of Rs 20000 compared to manual variants.
