After a lot of official teasers from RE and being spied for innumerable times on the Indian roads, Royal Enfield has today finally launched the new 2020 Meteor 350 BS6 in India. The new Meteor 350 BS6 is an all-new motorcycle and it is a very big launch from Royal Enfield after a really long time. This retro cruiser has been today finally launched in the country. The price of the new 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 BS6 starts at Rs. 1.75 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. Let's have a closer look at this new RE motorcycle!

Now, let's get into the details of the motorcycle. So, the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is powered by a new BS6-compliant 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 20.2 PS of maximum power at 6100 RPM and 27 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. This new engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
Talking about the hardware bits, the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is the first motorcycle from the company to be based on the new J-platform, J1D to be precise. It gets a double-cradle frame as opposed to the single-cradle frame we have seen on other RE motorcycles. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are performed by telescopic forks at the front and dual spring-loaded shock absorbers at the rear. For braking duties, it gets disc brakes at either end with dual-channel ABS as standard. Also, it gets alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The front tyre of the motorcycle measures 100/90-19 while at the rear, it gets a 140/70-section 17-inch unit.

The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 BS6 is very feature-loaded too. In fact, it is the most technologically-advanced RE motorcycle we have ever seen to date! It features twin-pod cluster for instrumentation, one of them is an analogue cluster with a small MID in between. The main cluster displays a ton of information including gear-position indicator, service reminder, fuel bar graph, etc. The other one is a separate digital cluster that is powered by Google and gets turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and some other features. Also, the new Meteor 350 gets a round-shaped LED DRL and it looks very handsome. It has a macho appeal with healthy proportions.
Talking about its variants and colour options, the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is available in three variants. They are Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. The Fireball variant of the Meteor 350 is available in two solid gloss colour shades - Yellow and Red. The Meteor 350 Stellar variant is available in three colour options - Gloss Metallic Red, Gloss Metallic Blue and Matte Black. It also gets a top of the line Supernova variant that comes loaded with a lot of goodies and looks really handsome. It is available in two dual-tone colour shades - Blue and Brown. All in all, the new Meteor 350 is a well-rounded package.

Lastly, talking about some other details of the motorcycle, so the price of the new 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 BS6 starts at Rs. 1.75 lakhs for the base Fireball variant. The Stellar variant is priced at Rs. 1.81 lakhs and the top of the line Supernova variant is priced at Rs. 1.90 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The bookings for the Meteor 350 are now open and the deliveries of the motorcycle will also commence soon. The test ride for the motorcycle will also commence from today across all RE dealerships in India. It will rival against the Honda H'Ness CB 350, Jawa Motorcycles and Benelli Imperiale 400 in the Indian market.
