Honda Amaze is sold in four variants - E, S, V and VX. Mechanically, Honda provides a 1.2L petrol churning out 89bhp/110Nm and a 1.5L diesel making 99bhp/200Nm. All four variants get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and only the S, V and VX get an optional CVT unit. The power in diesel CVT sticks to 79 bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque.
Honda Amaze E Variant - The Base Version

Petrol - Rs 6.22 lakh ; Diesel - Rs 7.68 lakh
Being the lowermost variant, it only carries some of the barebone features. This is great for someone on a tighter budget but also looking for a sedan. The safety features on this one include ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, ISOFIX mount child seats, manual IRVM, rear parking sensors, MID featuring a driving range and average fuel economy, all four power windows, front bottle holder, 1L bottle holder on every door and boot light.

Honda Amaze S Variant - Most Value For Money

Petrol MT - Rs 7.01 lakh ; Petrol CVT - Rs - 7.91 lakh
Diesel MT - Rs 8.35 lakh ; Diesel CVT - Rs - 9.15 lakh
All the features from the E variant are continued here but the S variant also gets central locking, speed-sensing door lock, vanity mirror on the co-driver, tilt steering wheel, 2 12V power sockets, height-adjustable driver's seat and front seats adjustable headrests.
It also gets a rear armrest with a cupholder, body-coloured ORVMs that also features power-folding function and gets LED turn indicators, body-coloured exterior door handles, shark fin antenna, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth and Aux-in connectivity, four speakers, 14-inch wheels with wheel covers, dual horn type and silver finish on the AC outlet.
Honda Amaze V Variant - Just Why?

Petrol MT - Rs 7.60 lakh ; Petrol CVT - Rs 8.50 lakh
Diesel MT - Rs 8.95 lakh ; Diesel CVT - Rs 9.75 lakh
This one continues with all the features from the S variant and now comes with a rear windshield defogger, 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, signature LED position lights, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, instantaneous fuel economy display with outside temperature, front and rear mudguard. It also gets a honda smart key with a keyless remote. If you choose the 1.2L petrol CVT then you also get paddle shifters. We wish Honda could have provided a touchscreen right from this variant only and then it would be the perfect buy for the buyers. The VX adds a pinch with a hefty price tag.

Honda Amaze VX Variant - All That Your Money Can Buy
Price
Petrol MT - Rs 8.08 lakh ; Petrol CVT - Rs 8.91 lakh
Diesel MT - Rs 9.43 lakh ; Diesel CVT - Rs 9.99 lakh
Being a top-spec variant, the VX surely comes rounded off as a package. This one gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets a rear parking camera, voice command, cruise control for manual versions, dual USB ports, steering mounted voice command and driver side window with one-touch up/down with pinch guard.
