One of the solid mid-size SUVs yet the least demanding is the Jeep Compass and even with the latest introduction of the Night Edition, it couldn't gather much interest in the Indian market. So Jeep is planning to launch a facelift of the Compass in early 2021 in India and the leaked images of the same have been out.

The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has been spied in the Chinese markets with its launch early next month. India launch of Compass facelift happens early next year. Now, sharing details on this facelifted image, then at first there will not be any changes you might see.

It's when you give a closer look you notice the redesigned headlight design are get LED treatment. The inserts are angular than before and it is the grille which seems new but is old. Well, it retains the signature 7-slat but now gets a better honeycomb styled mesh design.
The front bumper is restyled and now features contrast black air dams across it. Also, there is no separate unit for LED DRLs indicating they now will be integrated into the headlights only. The skid plates continue like before but they are now bolder and bigger than before at the front. As for the sides, they remain the same.
The rear is similar to what we have in the current-gen model except for some changes like the tweaked taillight design and some blacked out element. As far for the rear bumper, it will remain the same as globally. Next to the Compass, we can also see the Compass Trailhawk which will also be available in its facelifted avatar.
The angular headlights are identical as the normal Compass but that's just at. New details like the front bumper design, an all-black grille, red hooks at the front, dual-tone hood and the Trailhawk badging like before. Hopefully, with the new facelifted models, Jeep attracts the interest of the Indian market.

As for the interiors are concerned then nothing was revealed in these images. However, there are rumours that the facelifted Compass will come with a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will host modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Another bit is that we can expect a fully digital instrument cluster, at least for the top variants. Other than that, expect tweaked dash and seat upholstery design.
This facelifted will only come with cosmetic upgrades and things remain unchanged under the hood. For diesel lovers, it will continue with the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, BS6 turbocharged diesel unit which makes as much as 170 bhp with 350 Nm of peak torque. This engine gets mated to a 6-speed manual and an optional 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol unit makes as much as 160 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The transmission for this unit is handled by a 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed DCT. The ARAI certified fuel economy sticks to 14.1 km/l.
