Apart from the two trip meters, average speed and more the 2021 XUV500 will also host information like distance to empty, tyre pressure and we also expect maps. Yes, the driver can simply navigate through the TFT display placed in the instrument cluster.

The newer model is expected to carry loads of features and some are electronic parking brake, rotary dial for the infotainment unit and maybe even several driving modes. For the comfort level, we can expect the XUV500 to come with captain seats in the middle.

Recent spy shots also revealed changes in the styling department with a larger grille, sleeker double barrel headlights with new signature LED DRLs, sportier alloy wheels and new bumper design for both front and rear. Also, the rear taillights will now receive an LED pattern and will be horizontally placed instead of the vertical ones.

Like the styling, on the mechanical front too the new XUV500 will receive loads of changes. The biggest is the newer 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine which the carmaker is working on. There will be another 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine too that'll make 187 bhp with 380 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be made standard across all variants and an optional 6-speed auto for the mid and high spec variants.
