Maruti Suzuki officially launched the new generation Celerio. The Indian automaker already claims that the 2021 Celerio will be the most fuel-efficient petrol car, that has a 26.68 kmpl of class-leading mileage. This title was previously held by the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which has a mileage of 23 kmpl. Bookings have already started from last week, and for a nominal amount of Rs.11,000, you can lay claim on Marutis new upcoming entry-level hatchback. Recently. The Car Show, a YouTube channel, got hold of the top-spec 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio that arrived early at a showroom. They made a detailed video about that. 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio: Design
Just like its spied images, the new Celerio looks bigger, with rounded corners and carry a dynamic stance. This is because of the new Heartect platform that it is it sits on, which in itself is bigger and safer. The same platform is also available with the WagonR, Dzire and Baleno.
The car upfront will be equipped with a sweeping front headlamps, droplet-styled tail lamps and newly designed radiant signature front grille with chrome accentuate. The 15-inch (38.02cm) Urbane black alloy wheels and front fog lamps add to its lively style appeal. Maruti aims at capitative young and dynamic customers that offers unique and tasteful detailing for an inspiring style.
The top-spec variant in the video was white coloured. The door handles were your regular ones, but front passengers and drivers have access to the push-door mechanism. The new Celerio rides on 15-inches alloy wheels, that get a new design and is finished in Black. Aside from that, there are visible contours for enhanced aesthetics that stands out to make Celerio more appealing.
2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio: Specs
The top-spec Celerio will be powered by a 1.0-litre K10C Dual Jet dual VVT petrol engine that is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission and is capable of churning of 49kW of maximum power and 89 Nm of peak torque. Theres also a 5-speed manual transmission available with other models. This new unit replaces the current K10B engine. There is a possibility that the carmakers might introduce a factory-fitted CNG variant.

On the inside, the seats are adjustable, so are the steering wheels. Due to the increased dimensions of the platform, passengers inside will definitely be treated with more legroom space. The car is now officially launched and the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio will MAINLY compete against the likes of the Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago. Maruti Suzuki has smartly priced the hatchback at a competitive price tag and asks for a starting premium of Rs 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) that will go up to Rs 6.94 lakhs (ex-showroom).
