Engine Details
Model | 2021 Maruti Swift | Ford Figo Petrol |
Engine | 1.2-L 4 Cylinder Naturally Aspirated | 1.2-L 3 Cylinder |
Power (PS @ RPMs) | 90 @ 6000 | 96 @ 6500 |
Torque (Nm @ RPMs) | 113 @ 4400 | 119 @ 4250 |
Transmission | 5-Speed MT and AMT | 5-Speed MT |
Fuel Economy (kmpl) | 23.20 - MT 23.76 - AMT | 18.5 |
From the table above, it is the Ford Figo which feels more powerful on the paper as it churns out 96 PS of power with a peak torque of 119 Nm. It surely is higher than the 90 PS and 113 Nm of Maruti Swift. It is the 'kitna deti hai' factor where Swift stands out and delivers 23.20 for the manual and 23.76 kmpl for the AMT. Oh yes, the Swift gets an optional AMT which the Figo lacks. It only gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Features
Clearly, the Swift has been updated with all the new features like cruise control, coloured multi-information display, idle start-stop button, auto-foldable ORVMs and the AMT versions of the hatchback gets electronic stability control and hill hold. It continues with the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the other hand, the Figo gets a 7.0-inch floating touchscreen but it is not the best as it misses out on Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and even the mirror link. If you choose the Blu variant then you get highlights on the seat covers, door pads and it is just okay. The 257 litres of boot space is good for those weekend drives.
