It is worth mentioning that along with the launch of the new seven-seater Hector Plus, the company has even updated the SUV's six-seater model. The MG Hector Plus six-seater SUV was first launched in India in July 2020. Now, this premium six-seater version of the Hector Plus has got more features than before and it now demands a slightly higher price tag too. So, today in this article, we have shared with you the new vs old price list of the variant-wise prices of the six-seater version of the MG Hector Plus. Now, while the newly launched seven-seater version of the Hector Plus gets a bench seat in the middle row, the older six-seater version of the SUV still gets premium captain seats as before and these seats are very comfortable. Talking about the new feature add-ons in this SUV, so the MG Hector Plus now gets new ventilated front seats, new wireless phone charging pad and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror. The other bits of the SUV remains the same as before and it has been always a very feature-loaded SUV. Now, if we talk about the mechanicals of the SUV, so it doesn't get any mechanical changes. It continues to be powered by the same old BS6-compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 170 PS of power at 3750 RPM and 350 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM. This oil-burner comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox only.

The MG Hector Plus also gets a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 143 PS of power at 5000 RPM and 250 Nm of peak torque between 1600-3600 RPM. This petrol mill is available with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system too. The non-hybrid petrol motor comes paired to a six-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) in the six-seater version of the SUV while the petrol hybrid comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox only.
