2021 Tata Safari - Looks and Colour Options
From the front it surely looks like the Harrier, however, there are some key differences like the different skid plate design, chrome element on the headlight and also the tri-arrow design grille which gets chrome treatment. The side profile is where the changes are noticeable and you get bigger 18-inch alloy wheels, a larger overhang to accommodate the 3rd-row passenger which also increases the height of the SUV, functional roof rails (for non-panoramic sunroof variants), Safari badging and the rear profile gets a tweaked taillight and bumper design. The new Safari is available in three colour options - Royal Blue, Daytona Grey, Orcus White and Mist Blue.

2021 Tata Safari - Engine, Transmission and Mileage
The new Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre, FCA sourced turbocharged diesel engine which is also seen on the Harrier. This unit produces 170 PS of power with a peak torque of 350 Nm. One gets a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and an optional 6-speed auto gearbox. The mileage for the manual sticks to 16.14 kmpl while for the automatic it is 14.08 kmpl.
2021 Tata Safari - Features and Safety
The new Safari is equipped with signature 18-inch alloy wheels, Xenon projector headlights, Oyster white interiors, larger 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is equipped with 9 JBL speakers along with a subwoofer for enhanced audio. You also get a Boss mode for that additional comfort.
The safety features in the new Safari includes all-wheel disc brakes, 6 airbags, hill descent control, ISOFIX mount child seats, ESP terrain modes like normal, rough and wet, Hill hold control, TPMS and Rear parking sensors.

2021 Tata Safari - Price and Competition
The new Safari starts from Rs 14.69 lakh and the top model fetches Rs 21.45 lakh for the top-spec variant. It competes with MG Hector Plus and the Mahindra XUV500 for now.
