The Hyundai has scored the same as its core competitor, the Kia Seltos. Whereas, the Urban Cruiser scores the same as the Brezza, in the 2022 GNCAP crash test results.
In its latest round of crash testings, the Global or GNCAP crash test results for three Japanese cars, which represent quite the popular segment in the Indian market. Both the current generation Creta and i20 are one of those sought-after cars, simply because of their impressive list of features. The Toyota Urban Cruiser is the same mid-size SUV, that is also sold under the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza badge. Below here, check out the crash test videos below
Hyundai Creta
The current generation Hyundai Creta scored 3 stars on the adult safety front and 3 stars on the child safety front. Both the Seltos and Creta share the same platform, so the similarity in their crash test results is not unfamiliar.

As per the GNCAP, the drivers and passengers, heads and necks got Good protection. But the Drivers chest shows Marginal protection, compared to the Passengers Good chest protection. Both the Drivers and Passengers knee protection was compromised. The body shell is rated as unstable, which is given for any SUV. Besides, when it came to its child protection, it could not prevent forward movement of the head, despite adult seat belts. And since it was the base model that was tested, the crash-tested Creta did not have ISOFIX seats.
Hyundai i20
The newly updated Hyundai i20 also received the same crash test score of 3 stars in both adult safety and child safety. It gets Good protection on the passenger's chest, head, and knee. However, the driver's side showed Marginal protection. The bodyshell has also been rated as Unstable, but the footwell area has been regarded as stable. The i20 does get ISOFIX anchorages for Child safety though.

Toyota Urban Cruiser
The five-door Toyota Urban Cruiser scored a good 4 stars in adult safety, and 3 stars in the Child Safety Department. The bodyshell has been given as Stable. The second row does get ISOFIX seats, and adult safety belt could hold the excessive forward movement of the head. The Footwell area was rated as stable as well, and the driver tibias showed adequate protection as well.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser is priced between Rs. 8.72 lakhs Rs. 11.44 lakhs. The Hyundai Creta is priced from Rs 10.12 lakhs and goes all the way up to Rs. 17.19 lakhs. The Hyundai i20 is priced between Rs. 6.98 lakhs Rs. 11.3 lakhs. All are ex-showroom prices.
