It's widely speculated that Kia will release a facelift for the Seltos in 2022. The Kia Seltos is one of India's best-selling SUVs, ranking second in the country's mid-size SUV sales. This offering by Hyundai's sister company has proved its vast market presence with the booming sales figure and now the car is ready to get a facelift. With the imminent 2022 facelift, the Seltos will receive several new interior and exterior upgrades. According to recent rumours, the 2022 Kia Seltos will be equipped with a petrol-hybrid powertrain.
If the rumours are true, the 2022 Kia Seltos will be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine with a parallel hybrid system. The engine would produce a combined output of 137 horsepower and a peak torque of 264 Nm. The engine will also be paired with a lithium-ion battery that has a capacity of 1.56kWh. The same 1.6 L hybrid unit is available in Kia Niro, which also expected to launch in India. The current 1.5L 4-cylinder diesel engine produces 113 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque and the new engine may replace the existing diesel powertrain. However, there is no word on whether the India-spec facelift of the Seltos will acquire this powertrain. Although, if that's a part of the global facelift, we can expect something similar in India as well.

Other rumours claim that the higher trims of the 2022 Kia Seltos facelift will get a panoramic sunroof, while the mid-spec models will get a regular electric sunroof. The Seltos facelift is projected to include various visual modifications, such as a new grille, freshly styled alloy wheels, updated front and backlights, and a wider air dam. Inside, there's a new digital instrument cluster, as well as new upholstery and colour options. In terms of features and cabin space, the current model of the Kia Seltos is well sorted.
The 2022 Kia Seltos facelift is expected to debut in India in mid-2022, and spy pictures of the impending compact SUV are running on the internet. With the latest improvements, the Seltos will gain similar options that were previously unavailable, such as a panoramic sunroof.
