2022 Mahindra Bolero Now Gets Dual Airbags with Ex-showroom starting prices from Rs. 9 lakh onwards

The most rugged SUV in Mahindras stable might come across as a bit ill-equipped. But not anymore!

The recent Government mandate for all cars to come fitted with dual airbags gives our good old Bolero another update. Though, the SUV used to come fitted with single driver's side airbags, ABS, and reverse park sensors. For 2022, Mahindra makes this bread-and-butter SUV safer.

With the addition of new dual airbags, the dashboard is going to change as well. This means the chunky grab handle on the passengers side will also go away.  The cabin will mostly remain the same. The Bluetooth-embed music system is still available with both AUX and USB connectivity, along with manual air-conditioning knobs, keyless entry, power steering, and the semi-digital instrument cluster, all from before. Aside from the addition of new safety features mentioned above, the 2022 Mahindra Bolero also gets speed alert, standard across the range.

Mechanically, the 2022 Bolero will continue with the same 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel mHawk75 engine that produces 75 hp and 210 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with a rear-wheel drivetrain. Suspension duties on the Bolero will still be handled by coil springs at the front, and a rigid leaf spring at the rear. The Bolero measures the same as well - 3995 mm long, 1745 mm wide, and 1880 mm tall.
