Update on 5 January 2023: The debut of the Brezza with a CNG powerplant has not yet been officially announced by Maruti Suzuki. The company has already introduced its CNG-powered XL6 MPV. The unveiling of Toyota's Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG suggests that the Brezza won't be the first SUV to have a CNG powertrain. The upcoming CNG model of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder specs and other details have been made public by the company, and its introduction is anticipated to take place in the next few months or at the upcoming Auto Expo. Toyota has already started taking the bookings of the Hyryder CNG and listed the same on the website as well.

We may anticipate the arrival of the CNG-powered Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Hyryder's sibling, in the near future. The Grand Vitara CNG will have the same features as the Hyryder CNG, which has a 1.5-liter, mild-hybrid, four-cylinder, normally aspirated petrol engine. It has an output of 87 bhp and a maximum torque of 121.5 Nm.

The next-generation, Vitara Brezza will feature a new design altogether, and its name may also change. From 2022 onwards, Maruti Suzukis new compact SUV will drop the name 'Vitara'.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Design
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza will retain the same box-shaped silhouette SUV design. But both the front and rear fascia will be heavily updated. The updated model that has launched abroad looks quite upmarket than the outgoing model. Similarly, the interior will see a step up too in the form of a new larger infotainment screen, sunroof, paddle shifters, and wireless connectivity features. 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: CNG Engine
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza will continue to use the same 1.5-litre K15B Petrol engine that produces 105 bhp and 138 Nm of torque, however, with the CNG kits, the number might drop a bit. The current-generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG currently uses a similar setup. In the MPV, it produces 92 hp and 122 Nm of torque, the new Brezza might have the same output figures as well, with fuel efficiency around 26.08 km/kg, or even better, since the compact SUV is lighter than the MPV.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG: Launch, Rivals, and Price
Once launched, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza will not have any competition as such in the Indian market. However, Tata is slated to launch a CNG version of the Nexon, following the launch of the Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG.
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezzas variant range is expected to be priced between Rs. 7.61 lakh to Rs. 11.19 lakh. Expect the CNG model to be priced between Rs. 8-10 lakh.
Verdict: The price of the CNG variants of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has not yet been disclosed by Toyota, but we anticipate it will be announced soon. The brand will be the first to provide an SUV with a CNG powerplant. A few months ago, several images of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG appeared online, but the company has not yet announced any plans to introduce the vehicle.
