After the exit of Ford from India, the full-size SUV segment is now left only with the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster. While everyone of us knows how well the Fortuner sells, MG on other hand is trying to revive their Gloster sales via this facelift. There have been news regarding the update on its way and now the new photos give us an idea what to expect from it.
While the test car was completely camouflaged, the design silhouette remains the same as that of the current SUV. The overall design and body dimensions are similar to the current car. Slight changes are expected in the LED headlight unit which might feature a new DRL design. Also, the front bumper and side claddings might undergo a design revision as well. At the rear end also bumper might feature a few nick-nack changes. Another change to the notice is the new alloy wheel design which is quite similar to the current car alloy design but has fewer spokes.
Similar to the exteriors, the interior photos reveal no change for most of thepartst. Although, we expect that MG might add a feature or two in the facelift to keep it up with the Toyota Fortuner Legender.

Spec-wise MG offers the current Gloster SUV with a 2.0-Lt, turbo-diesel engine which produces a max power of 162 hp and peak torque of 375 Nm. A 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is used for delivering the power to all the four wheels. In the facelift, we anticipate that MG shall not fiddle with the mechanicals and the same engine and specs will make it in the facelifted car as well.
Although it was a test car, but the production ready form suggest us that MG is almost ready to launch this mild-facelift soon in the domestic market. Once launched, the prices will also be affected with a slight bump in the sticker prices.
