The Royal Enfield Scram 411 will be the road-legal version of the RE Himalayan. It will have an expected price below Rs. 2 lacs.
Ahead of its launch on March 17th, the first units of the 2022 Royal Enfield Scram 411 have already reached showrooms. This gives us an idea as to what the production-spec motorcycle will look like, and going by initial impressions the 2022 RE Scram 411 will look quite retro and the paint scheme ideally compliments that.

Now we have two paint schemes for the Scram. Both have dual-tone colored fuel tanks, while the mid-section area and cowl are colored with the base paint. Theres the base Black and Red with Golden strips in between, shade, and the White-Grey and Red scheme. Both the colors are instantly recognizable as RE design. The light paint scheme of course feels a bit radical, but we have had the RE Classic 350 in Ash color before which was white-colored. The darker option also felt was in the matte shade, while the lighter scheme felt glossy. This again might indicate that the Scram 411 will come with two shade options as well.
The RE Scram 411 has been spied numerous times before , and the spied model already gave out its similarities with the Himalayan. But its still has its own standout design features. Like, the fuel tank gets rid of the tubular metal structure around it (found in the adventure bike), and the windshield is absent, instead, there's a small metal held-lamp cowl. The instrument console on the Scram 411 also seemed different and bigger with a large set-off speedometer alongside a small navigation display.

Mechanically, the 2022 Scram 411 will feature the same 411 cc two-valve, SOHC air-cooled motor that produces 24 hp and 32 Nm of torque. However, RE might tune it with more aggressive power delivery, and that remains to be confirmed.
The wheels on the 2022 Royal Enfield Scram 411 also seemed smaller than the Himalayan, especially the front ones. They could have been 20-inch or 19-inches, however, that remains to be confirmed. Being a road-oriented bike, the long travel suspensions will need adjustments, but whether RE makes the ride firm or soft, remains to be seen. With so many omissions, the Scram 411 will weigh lighter than the 199 kg Himalayan.
