VW is all set to launch their upcoming sedan, 2022 Virtus that will rival the likes of Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna, fifth-gen Honda City and Maruti Ciaz. While several videos and pictures of the top of the line, GT variant of the Virtus are now out, here is our view at the base variant, Comfortline of the upcoming 2022 VW Virtus! Have a look!
As can be seen, on the outside, it gets Polo inspired alloy wheels design and gets a dual-tone colour treatment. The glossy black treatment on the mirror caps and the roof really gives it a premium look. The ORVMs also gets integrated LED turn indicators.
At the front, it receives halogen headlights and foglights along with gloss black treatment on the lower parts of the grille. The top-spec variants get projector headlights. The chrome strip on the upper portion of the grille joins the headlight section in a subtle manner and the neat chrome strip between the foglights looks good.

The rear profile continues with the blacked out LED taillight design which really gives the Virtus a sportier look. One can observe chrome strip here too in the lower bumper area but overall, the Virtus has a striking stance. Even the chrome bits are used rightly and nothing seems overdone.
Jumping towards the inside then it receives a multi-fucntion steering wheel, manual HVAC functions, analogue odometer, a touchscreen infotainment system, dual-tone beige and black interior, metal pedals, piano black finish on the dashboard and centre console. We believe that since this base variant of the Virtus, it will get wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Powering the Comfortline variant will be a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor. This engine generates as much as 114 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 178 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and also gets a 6-speed torque converter as an option.
