2023 Hyundai Verna Details
It's not been too long since the first BN7 test car was seen undergoing a night run in India. Those images faintly showed the interior design but the exterior was rather heavily camouflaged. The new images show that the BN7/Verna is going to get a completely new design. The rear shows us the use of new stretched-out LED lights connected by a single light bar on the boot lid.
The new chassis is sought to get bigger than the current generation of the car. The new chassis and design will rather impose the elements carried from Hyundai Elantra. Additionally, the BN7 bigger chassis will allow more cabin space & comfort on the inside. The test cars spied were seen using a new alloy wheel design with diamond-cut and multiple spokes. The design looks familiar to the new Hyundai i20 too.
Additionally, the design will focus on Hyundai's new layout called 'Sensuous Sportiness'. This new design language is already seen on the newly launched 2022 Hyundai Tucson & Hyundai Venue SUVs in India. The new-gen Verna is also going to feature a new front fascia with headlights fitted on the bumper itself. The rear overhang also looks big in the spy photos, meaning the car might gain massive proportions dimension-wise.

Engine & Specifications
Under the hood, we suspect that the new Verna is going to use the same engine options as seen on the current car. This will mean that the 1.5-Lt NA petrol, 1.5-Lt turbo-diesel, & the 1.0-Lt GDi turbo-petrol engines will find their way in the new Verna. Gearbox options are also likely to remain the same. This translates that the 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic, & the 7-speed DCT automatic will be used in the new car as well.
There are rumors on the internet that a mild-hybrid tech will also mark its was with the BN7 launch. This is to cope with the core rivals like the Skoda Slavia, VW Virtus, Maruti Ciaz, & the Honda City. This tech is anticipated to remain limited mostly to the idle start/stop tech for fuel saving.
Whilst the development undergoes, the production-ready 2023 Verna seems to be getting closer day by day. Nevertheless, it will not be any time before 2023 that the new Verna gets launched in India. The prices will also shoot up due to bigger chassis and better features.
